Server Loads and Server Load Balancing

Server Loads and Server Load Balancing

The server load concept expresses that how many processes are in the queue waiting to access the computer processor. This server load includes the certain period of time to wait to complete the process, and of course as smaller the amount of time, it is better for the waiting processes to execute quickly.

To avoid the server load, Server Load Balancing is a Computer Networking Method that distribute the workload of the existing processes across multiple computing resources such as computers, a computer cluster, network links, central processing units or disk drives.

Load Balancing helps you to optimize the use of resources, it maximizes the throughput, minimizes response time and also avoid the overload of any one of the resources. It highly achieve the fault tolerance in the IT industries. Sometimes, if there is a chances of unavailability of the back-end servers then it provides mechanism to do something special as a load balancer.
