Create A Web Host at Home
There are many cheap hosting providers from which you can use cheap hosting plans. But the issue with them is that you don’t want to be limited bandwidth on your website. So, if you want to host your own website at home by avoiding terms and conditions of the companies, you can do it.
First of all, you will need to register your domain name with a domain registrar for creating a web host at home. You will only need to select an available domain name to register. After that you will need to download and install Apache’s web server on your system. As it is a free web server, you don’t have to pay for it. If you already have a Mac device then no need to install the server because Apache comes with pre-installed Mac devices.
If you are going to install Apache on Windows server you should click on your desired version and then click on download link. Double-click on the downloaded file and follow the instructions by clicking OK until you install the server on your device. After installing test it by opening your browser typing “localhost” in it. If it works, then you are ready to do further work.
Configure it by editing plain text lines in the srm.conf, httpd.conf, and access.conf files which is known as directives. This directives determines which directory on the server are “served” to another computer over the internet. After doing this you should restart your Apache server to save changes. To allow port-forwarding, you should configure a router to forward request on port 80, the most common HTTP port.
